A new update for your TouchPad is now available via a free over-the-air system update. (For information about how over-the-air updates work, click here). Here are some of the new goodies you'll find in webOS 3.0.5:
- faster switching in Calendar views;
- IM presence indicators and faster scrolling in Email;
- support for HTTP Live Streaming;
- the ability to easily toggle auto-correction on or off;
- an option you can set so that a period will be inserted when you press the space bar twice.
For more details, click here.
An update to webOS 2.2.4 was also recently made available for unlocked Pre 2 and AT&T, Verizon, and unlocked Pre 3 phones. For Pre 2, this update brings improvements in Skype voice calling and messaging, and MAP for Bluetooth. For all devices, you’ll find Messaging, Calendar, and Contacts enhancements.

Found with the 3.04 OS update that the Mail client would distort graphics on l-o-n-g messages adding pixel lines that would disappear when I stretched the screen.
When reading my daily comics email from GoComics, I would have to do this several times as I went down thru multiple pages.

Good to hear about the update. Also good to hear that the "two spaces for auto period" is optional; because its incorrect. See this article for an in-depth explanation:

Are there updates for the old Phones "Pre, Pre+" in the line, too?

I looked at the change log, and I don't see these bugs fixed:
1. Random audio distorting while playing audio from Youtube and music. A restart is often necessary to get the audio normal again.
2. The screen sometimes auto dim even though the auto dimmer toggle is set to disabled.
3. Google Mail from the browser is broken. It would be nice to be able to change the UA String. I know this is a Google problem, but it would be nice if HP can fix this.

How about adding additional fonts such as Unicode8 so people can view fonts in other languages (Vietnamese for example) on websites. That was the whole point when I bought each of my parents a Touchpad. Thanks!

I forgot to add from the previous comment. This is very annoying, and impacts many, many Touchpad users.
After the update to 3.0.4, the Touchpad because much, much less sensitive to the HP Touchstone Dock. My thicker case no longer works after 3.0.4.

Is there any upgrade available for the Veer?
Mine reboots randomly, perhaps moving to webOs 2.2 will solve them....

Thank you for continuing to update webOS. With the recent update for my unlocked Pre2, it has since had trouble locking on to WiFI connections with me having to force/choose them (where there is one available, source 10 feet away from me at home). Seems that this a relatively common problem with the Pre3 and others on the Pre2. I'm hoping whatever HP changed in the WiFi configuration is changed back, or improved.
