This is awesome news. You should also check out "Free Music Ringtones" in the App Catalog as well: http://bit.ly/ciLLg0

noCanada. Guess I'll just not buy any Apps

Brandon

can any tell me if Chapura pocketmirror is included in this promotion?

Mike Churchill

Why no love for Canada :( I would of bought lots of apps if they were half off in Canada :(

Stefan D.

So this promotion is valid for US customers only. Thank you very much from Europe. :-( This is a great disappointment to many international customers, because Palm shows us again that we are 2nd class customers only.

Chofter

How about Europe? We're in recession too you know...

Hi Jon

While this sounds great for all US folks, there is a much more important issue regarding the App Catalog:

I finally got my Palm Pre Plus here in Switzerland.
In general, it works fine.
One BIG issue:

I have only very limited access to the App Catalog.

I desperately need some of the paid apps.
There is however no chance to get them.
(I have webOS QuickInstall on the desktop and Preware on the Pre. No chance. I do see some of the paid apps with Preware, but when trying to install, it

a) either says: This app is not available in your country or

b) divert to the official Palm apps download page where you can only select phone numbers from the "official" countries. (So can't enter my Swiss phone number.)

I purchased the Palm Pre Plus (through a wholesale company probably importing it from Germany), paid full and also like to support Palm and webOS developers.

I am sure, many Palm enthusiasts all around world (outside the official Palm Pre markets) have the same issue.

Please open up the App Catalog to ALL countries and also allow ALL languages in all countries. So if a German app is not available and it is OK with an English version, one could choose so.

Thanks in advance.

A very longtime, loyal customer (continuously using Palm devices ever since the Palm III).

would be really nice to hav a promo in Europe, too...

International users (READ: Non US residents) can easily get their hands on US region locked applications. I will not hold your hand though, and as a self absorbed American if you can't learn how to do so with a simple 3 second Google search then you aren't worth helping so I don't pity your situation when it comes to promotional discounts.

Matt

I'm disappointed too that this offer isn't valid for customers in Europe.

Jon
Regarding opening of paid App Catalog for Switzerland:

Just release it for ALL available apps and let us pay in US$.

With 4 official national languages, surrounded by EU countries, it is in general NO PROBLEM for us, to deal with some other languages or some other currencies. ;-)

So just free up the (paid) App Catalog for us.

Thanks in advance.

Awesome sale! Looking forward to sales in other places too -

Telcel GSM users in México also need full app catalog... Common Palm what is the problem?

Christopher

I would like to purchase apps across countries as well. Why is there limitation for this? US resident here who speaks 4 European languages and would like EUR apps but am restricted. Any thoughts to lift cross trans-Grenze restrictions? Thank you.

Aldo

I am also a user of a palm pre in Switzerland and do not have access to the full app catalog. Please open the palm app catalog for Swiss palm pre users (Country code +41) as soon as possible. Aldo

RR

I am in Kiev, Ukraine and have the same problem, I can not access the aplm app catalog and can NOT get any of the apps on my device. I can not even migrate my info from the palm desktop to my palm pixi as I can't get the CL USB SYNC as i am out of the UK and USA. This is complete madness!!!

Any ideas how to get around this?
