A completely revamped version of the free Facebook for Palm app for all Palm webOS phones is now available in the Palm App Catalog. Download (or update) the app and you'll find enhancements to help you:
Stay current: You can keep up to date with your Facebook inbox, latest Facebook events, friends' birthdays, and your news feed. You can now view your friends' Walls, Information, and Photos, and keep tabs on your own Wall.
- Stay in touch: Reply to messages in your Facebook inbox or compose new messages, Like and Comment on items in your News Feed, and find friends (old and new) with new Search functionality.
- Share photos: You can show off your photo albums to friends, as well as view, like, and comment on photos and albums. You can also quickly upload photos directly from the Facebook application.

I think it's awesome! Sure, there's a few things missing, but the new layout is awesome! For a while I was bouncing in n out of the actual website and the app because one would do something the other couldn't, but now it's all good. Time wasting just got more efficient = )

Palm, I also CANNOT log in and its not a TYPO. Really, after all the complaints of not being able to log in, you would think you would fix this problem rather than blame the user for such a mistake.

Like the update to the app but has anyone else been having problems with event times being off by 3 hours? For some reason on the regular facebook site the event time is right, but when I go to my Pre in my calendar or in the new app the event shows as 3 hours later and I can't change it. Can anyone help?

The update is *much* better. The only feature I'm really missing is the ability to edit uploaded photos. Tagging would be nice, but what I really want is the ability to rotate images and to edit the caption after upload. I'd also like to be able to choose the album to which a photo is uploaded. If I'm dreaming, I'd like to be able to select multiple photos for upload at once as well; but I'd like that in the email app too. Having an [optional] icon overlay which indicated what has been emailed / uploaded to FB / etc would be nice; all of my previous phones added a little "uploaded" indicator. That indicator might reduce the need to upload multiples, but generally better album management capability (make a new album, bulk upload, tagging, editing caption and rotation, maybe modifying permissions) would be really nice - esp with the new video capability. :)

great app, but where's your personal notifiacations/news feed. Thats what its missing, and that's why the majority of peple will still use the mobile site or another app. Please update this urgently!

i love the app, and although it might be quite hard to add dashboard notifications SURELY you can add a button which you click to see your notifications (i.e. Steve liked your status, Bob added something to your wall). This is the missing feature that will mean I keep using the Facebook mobile site. Friendsbook etc have this, so please add it soon.

I am unable to log in also. I enter all of my username and password and it stays on the log in screen and does nothing!

I cannot seem to find out how to sync my new Facebook contacts into my contacts on Palm Pre. Any help?

Hi Lisa,
Open up the Contacts app on your Palm Pre. Then, swipe down from the top left corner to bring down the menu, and choose Preferences & Accounts. Then scroll down and choose Add An Account to add and sync your Facebook account.

I can't even log on to this application. Even after deleting and reinstalling it. When I press sign in, the button depresses and returns to say sign in. No action at all. This is so frustrating. If anyone knows an answer, please email me @ lucas.lubin@live.com

need a batch upload for photos, download photos, download/upload progress bar and ability to post videoes, such as youtube! Great app though, sure beats using the facebook mobile site.
chatting to facebook friends would also be nice!

Pretty please add a notification flag like on the Mobile Facebook webpage top left. With that update I can finally ditch the poor mobile website and use your now ace Pre App :)

Thank you so much Palm for a great app! I have one quick question. How do I leave comments and upload pictures onto a page I created for our youth ministry? I am the administrator and would love to let all of the fans see the pictures and have posts updated quickly from my Palm Pre Plus.
