Put on a new Facebook

A completely revamped version of the free Facebook for Palm app for all Palm webOS phones is now available in the Palm App Catalog. Download (or update) the app and you'll find enhancements to help you:

• Stay current: You can keep up to date with your Facebook inbox, latest Facebook events, friends' birthdays, and your news feed. You can now view your friends' Walls, Information, and Photos, and keep tabs on your own Wall.

• Stay in touch: Reply to messages in your Facebook inbox or compose new messages, Like and Comment on items in your News Feed, and find friends (old and new) with new Search functionality.

• Share photos: You can show off your photo albums to friends, as well as view, like, and comment on photos and albums. You can also quickly upload photos directly from the Facebook application.

I have been having trouble signing into the application for the past 2 months but using the same log-in information, I can access my Facebook account through the X.Facebook site. Who do I turn to for help; Palm, Sprint, or Facebook? Someone PLEASE help!!

Coming from other smartphone platforms I was going to ask for quicker access to people's phone numbers (rather than having to go to the info section of each person) and then I remember Palm already took care of that with Synergy and my Facebook friends contact info is already on the Palm. Awesome!

I, personally, could do WITH actual notifications, ability to delete posts, facebook chat, video viewing apabilities, and friends search that extends to pages and groups, and @ replies like on the fb home site.
ut it's an ok app :)

everytime i try to update it fails, i even deleted it and triex installing it again, as well as restarting my pre plus. any ideas why this is happening?

I went to the updates app and it said my phone is up to date but no new Facebook app. So confused.

I love my Pre. I had the Treo 755p right before I got the Pre. I DO miss some of the stuff I could do with my Treo, but I'm still learning how to use my new Pre. Only thing I would change is the location of the charger connector. It doesn't fit in any of my car mounts. If it could be on top near the headphone jack, or on the bottom, that would make it a little easier. Thank You PALM!!

actually i cant download any apps. my phone says "system adjustments must be made before instalation can continue" why would it say that?

Call me picky, but I'd like to see "via Palm Pre" or something to that effect after posting a comment/status update. Don't get me wrong...this is a HUGE and great update and thanks for your hard work.

Kori, please launch the Updates app to get the new version. It's not live in the Palm App Catalog quite yet.

Who freaking cares! Don't you understand that flash is the one thing we are all waiting for? Who cares that Facebook works a little bit better? It would get tweaks over time no matter what you did. But flash is what will set you apart from other phones. Get on it for crying out loud!!!!!!!

how I get da update

It's a shame that the thousands (millions?) of us using the Treo and Centro phones have been abandoned and only the new webOS phones get this update. Facebook for our older phones does so very little it's hardly worth using. You can not comment on people's status, or even see the comments left by others.

why is it that i cant log on my yahoo messenger account... i did and then it updated and now i cnt log in anymore... it kept saying loging in failed... ive tried it so many times but it wont let me... pls help...

***Palm Please Help!!*** I have tried redownloading, making new passwords, and rebooting my phone and this Facebook app will not let me Or my wife sign in. I've tried all of the different tricks and it's wierd because my contacts connect to Facebook with no Problems. When I try to log into the App it the button acts like it's going to try for a split second but then acts like I never tried. Very weird and I hope you can help answer me.
