The latest version of Palm webOS is launching initially for Sprint Palm Pre and Palm Pixi customers in the US. Palm webOS 1.3.5 offers improved performance and enhancements for several features, as well as more consistent performance for Palm Pixi. Notable improvements include:
- Room for more apps: You can now download and store gigabytes of applications, effectively eliminating the limitation on the number of apps that could be installed.
- Better battery management: Users in areas with marginal network coverage may see improved battery life.
- Palm Beta App Catalog improvement: Searching for and downloading apps have been enhanced.

If anyone is having a problem with their Exchange calendar, the following patch will fix it:
1. Go to Date & Time and turn off Network time.
2. Change the Date to Jan 2 2009 (just change the year)
3. Launch calendar. Your entries should now be visible
4. Change the Date to the correct date - Jan 2 2010
5. Launch calendar again to verify that entries are still showing up
6. Switch network time back on
7. When "Waiting for Network" appear, switch to airplane mode
8. Turn airplane mode off, and network time should connect
9. Launch calendar again and it should be all good
Note that if you need to turn off your Pre, you will need to do this all over again.
Good luck!

After 1.3.5, my computer does not recognize my pre in either usb drive mode as well as in media sync. I did not update my itunes so the both options should still work and were working prior to the update. Please help!!!!!

The Exchange "Patch" doesn't work for everyone. I've tried the steps listed above but my calendar is empty when I have my Exchange account set up. If I remove the Exchange account, I see the Google calendar no problem.

WebOs is fine, even beautiful, but OS is buried in hardware which subverts the OS, smallish Pre screen and hard keyboard are compared: http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/02/exclusive-google-nexus-one-hands-on-video-and-first-impressio/
Will there ever be a Pre Senior?

since downloading this my battery life has been cut in half, my phone is slower, and I find myself wishing I'd gone with a Blackberry instead. It wouldve cost less and I'd have a phone with a video camera, good media player, and maybe a power button that works. I got this phone 4 months ago and the power button went out 2 weeks ago. Real quality.

Ever since the update, I can only download apps that I have to pay for. I can't download any of the free apps. I don't mind paying for apps, but there were free ones I wanted too.

My pre froze up alot too yesterday. I had to take off the back cover and take out the battery twice. Then at night my phone turned off on me and I had it plugged in the charger so my alarm never went off, very annoying. Thanks for nothing palm

I just upgraded to 1.3.5.1 and I don't have a battery icon. When I pull down the right-sided menu, it tells me my battery is at 0%, but my decive info gives me the right percentage. Anyone have this issue?

I just upgraded to 1.3.5.1 The phone stopped working. Mail stopped working. I was connected to two exchange servers and 2 hot mail accounts. None of them work now. I bought 4 palm pre's. Thinking I was getting Microsoft Mobile 6. This is a huge disappointment. Oh, a fully charged battery now only lasts 6 hours, in standby.

I really don't see why the update is never validated on my Pre. After waiting long hours to download all i see is try again tomorrow and the same story cycles. With these things I'm hearing about the update, will my battery life be sparred or should I just hold on till you guys sort things out?
I have an iPhone 3GS and I can sell off the Pre if frustration persists, I promise not to tell the prospective buyer of the impending troubles though.

Since the last update I can't turn my phone off holding the button down and moving the switch 3x's. I have to shut down and turn back on. Why.

When is Palm going to address the screen cracking issue with the Pre? I went through 3 of these before I demanded a different phone entirely. As a police officer, if my radio fails, my phone could be the difference between life & death - that's NOT when you want to discover your phone is useless because the on screen "touch" controls will not respond.

If my new computer (with Windows 7 OS) does not also have bluetooth, is there an alternate way to sync my Palm TX to my Outlook?
