Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Ho-ho-holiday specials in the Palm Beta App Catalog:

How funny is that. Specials that are no good to those of us who cannot download from the app catalog until the new update is released. Sounds like an April Fool's joke instead of a holiday special.

My wife loves her Pre but miss's voice dialing.

This is a slap in the face to EU customers, not only can we not even receive paid apps, were also missing out on special offers. I also think this blog is misleading as anyone looking to purchase a palm pre could read this and assume it applies to all phones, not just those in the US and buy a phone under a false pretense.
Seriously, palm needs to get its act together if it wants to compete in the smartphone market

All you developers: The MUST HAVE app for Palm WebOS is a voice dialer!

What's the problem? I gave up a pretty good one in my 5 year old Samsung A900.

WOW, no center button on the Pre + for Verizon and 2x the memory over the Pre that we Sprint Customers got suckered into buying. At least some of our (Sprint) accessories are cheaper than what's being offered by Verizon. HINT: Sprint's versions will also work for you Verizon customers. Better still, check EBay for even better savings on many items. Just be careful of the Car Chargers and DC Chargers, not all are compatible with the Pre. Even though some vendors say they are, not all are. Text the vendor and have them VERIFY that they will work "WITH THE PALM PRE", then save their reply in case they don't. Then you'll have proof and a good reason for returning it if it doesn't work. The screen protectors and cases are DEFINITELY cheaper on EBay! Hope your PRE Plus' work better than our Sprint ones have. It's a good phone but PALM could have done A LOT better with it. (i.g. Battery life, volume controls, allowing user to assign different ring tones for differing types of alerts, better roaming when carrier signal is too weak, voice dialing, putting charging port on bottom vs right side, more ergonomical to hold and use with one or two hands without getting a cramp or dropping the phone.)
