- Swipe up from the gesture area to the screen to open the Launcher.
- Tap and hold the Contacts icon in the Quick Launch bar and then drag the icon onto the Launcher.
- Find the Facebook app in the Launcher. Tap and hold the Facebook icon, and drag the icon onto the Quick Launch bar.
You can reorder Quick Launch icons too. Just tap and hold an icon on the Quick Launch bar and drag it to another location.
While you're at it, why not personalize your Launcher pages? For example, move your apps so that all games appear on one page. Just tap and hold any icon and drag it to the left or right edge of the screen to move the icon to another page.

It would be nice if the order of the icons were saved to the palm profile, so if something happens to the phone, you don't have to re-order it all over again.

"Swipe up from the gesture area to the screen to open the Launcher."
Why are we stuck with the launcher icon in the QL-bar if we have another method of getting to it? Sure would be nice to put Pandora in the QL-bar with my phone, web, Twee, and camera icons!

Is palm going to allow us to add pages the launcher? 3 pages isn't enough to properly organize my applications. If we could add and delete pages from the launcher, then I would actually be able to create some quick launches.
Also only having 4 slots available for the quick launcher is extremely limiting. I use at least 10 applications on a regular basis. how about allowing me to customize my homepage with more then just a background picture. Its such a huge amount of wasted space that I could use for quick launch icons, alert quick views, text or email synopsis, etc.
These three tips do so little to actually help me manage my phone.

Finally! I use text messaging a lot and I was wondering why that wasn't on there instead of the calendar app. Thanks.

For those interested in changing the vanilla pages on the Pre, there are some excellent homebrew patches that add tremendous versatility to what can be done here. Hopefully Palm is looking at these patches as well for inspiration with future updates.
