Christmas came a bit early for the studio audience attending a taping of today’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. As part of the show’s “12 Days of Giveaways,” each member of the studio audience was told they’d be receiving their own Palm Pixi.
We can’t quite offer the same gift to every member of our “studio audience” for this blog, but we can give each of you the chance to win one -- just post a comment on our Facebook page telling us who on your gift list deserves their own Palm Pixi or Palm Pre. (And yes, it’s OK if that special someone on your list is actually you.)
If you want to find out more about the amazingly slim and powerful phone that Ellen was so enchanted by, click here for a quick tour of the “absolutely gorgeous” Palm Pixi. And be sure to follow @palm on Twitter to hear about upcoming opportunities to win Palm phones.

I've been a palm user since I've tried the Treo 600. When I saw this phone after seeing the centro, I automatically dreamt myself holding and owning one. I wonder when will that time come???

I am still using the oldest model LG phone that is all scratched up and beaten to a pulp, you can't even see the screen withought being in dark lighting as it is so mangled. To get a good charge - I have to hold the battery charger in the slot as I am driving to work - thank goodness that I work 30 minutes from home so I am able to get a bar or 2 charged. I so desperately need a new phone and would lOVE a Palm Pixi for Christmas from Ellen.

I have been through a early Palm MP3, and then 3 generation Palm smart phones. I have been seriously planning to replace the Palm Treo 755p iam now using, as soon as I can locate the $s. This new palm would be a great Xmas gift for me.

My cell phone is also my home phone, which is four years old, I couldn't imagine having a phone that didn't have sticky buttons, and a scratched face....well maybe I can imagine but being single with two sons in college and one son still at home...it is only a dream to own a phone like that.

My daughter has just successfully gone through addiction rehabilitation and has gotten a teriffic job. Along with beating her addiction she has turned to also counseling others however she does not have a cell phone to keep in touch with others that my need her advice and support. A phone from Palm would go along way in helping others with the issues that she once had. Thank you Palm!

I'm dissappointed in the available art choices, they're all ugly! I was so excited to get this phone when i saw it was going to be available with art-what a let down!

Remember that companies usually pay to place products on shows. 10 minutes commercials aren't free.
A summary of the Palm Pixi reviews I've seen: Spend the extra $$ and get the Pre. It's smaller, it has a larger screen, it does wi-fi, etc. My friends with it have been reasonably happy.

The Pixi will probably become a "free with 2 year contract" phone soon.
I'm still waiting for the Palm XL -- all or more power than the Palm Pre, memory card slot, larger battery (longer life) and a big screen for web use or DivX movie watching. If my 755p dies before then, other manufacturers have this capability, including integrated DivX. Please don't disappoint me, Palm. I wouldn't be checking in and asking if I didn't care.

I'm sure this is a wonderful phone, but I WISH you folks would go back to making PDAs. I already HAVE a phone. But I can't replace my fabulous T|X.

My husband loves his Palm Treo so much he is still using it with a cracked display screen (that looks like a bullet hole - of course it is not, but this makes for a good story). He says he needs a new phone but cannot find another phone that he loves as much to make the switch. His current Palm cuts off and loses service but he still keeps using it :-) He really wants to stay with Palm please come out with something that will please him.

Again tell me why the Pixi has no Wi-Fi... How can you put a smartphone on the market without Wi-Fi. I would have bought one immediately but again your are deceiving me!

A Pixi with no WiFi is a camera with no flash

Please read. I can't afford the extra fee required with these new phones/pda's. My Zire 31 is wearing out. I use it SO MUCH and NEED it. It helps me function, especially with my 3 VERY ACTIVE special needs children. Truthfully, I'm VERY UPSET that I can't get a new one. Just today I met a man who is not happy about his wearing out, too. Mine has vital and personal information that I don't want to get stolen or lost. These phones, at least the ones I've had, are fragile and don't last. Everyone says that the Palm is the best and easiest mobile computer and what they do is vital for professionals and business people. Also the Palm OS works better than the Windows. My suggestions make the phone/PDA available with an optional data plan or optional phone module or two models of PDA one like my Zire for students/Moms/third world countries without wireless and one like Tungsten for business/physicians.

I, too, wish Palm would make PDAs again. I am using my scratched up Centro because there is no other device that simplifies my daily tasks as well. The new phones aren't as efficient as my centro. Palm's PDA's revolutionized the way I managed my daily tasks, calendar, recipes, journal, etc. Please keep the PDAs coming.

I would love to win this telephone. The telephone that I have now gets very hot and burns my ears if I'm on the telephone for more than a few minutes. At this time I do not have the finances to purchase a new telephone.
