Why are PALM products non compatible with Ford SYNC? I will have to switch my phone with AT&T because I cannot use it in my auto.

I really disliked the new Palm Pre that I bought on Sunday (returned it by Wednesday). I do not like the lack of a desktop to enter information, the transferred information from my phone book contained none of my custom area with tons of my much needed data, I do not have wifi at work to synch, I would be forced to use a third party software to run the calendar program I love, and I could go on and on. The display is sexy and innovative, but I prefer my Centro.

It was nice to get replies from him of many palm users. These officials should follow this way of interaction. It would be appreciated.

When I started getting emails on the Palm Pixi, I sent the below email to Mr. Mike Bell, Senior VP of Product Development. I received no response (I was guessing at his email address.)
A few days ago, the Google Android phone was released--with a slightly larger screen than the iPhone, and a sideways slide out keyboard. Just what I asked for! In addition, Garmin stock plunged 16% on the news due to integrated maps on a large screen--larger than my Garmin handhelds.
I see from other comments that the simple yet easy to use and effective Palm Desktop is gone. If Palm is serious about turning around, stop taking away things customers like and offering things they don't want, like surfing the internet on a postage-stamp screen.
There was a great deal of hype leading up to the Palm Pre and the stock price from Dec 08 to Oct 09 shows it. As the realization of the Palm Pre and Pixi sunk in, and now the new Droid came out (not to mention the iPhone 3GS), the stock price (and sales) reflect Palm is not giving consumers what they want.
I have always compared PDA's and phones, always loved my Palms, Handsprings, and then Palm phones. Please round out your lineup with a large screen phone and desktop software to match the 2-1/2 year old iPhone and I will be happy.
Thank you for allowing me a place to post my frustrations. I have loved my Palm products for years and want to see you succeed.

Mr. Bell,
I'm being asked if I want to upgrade to the Palm Pixi. The WebOS has won great accolades and reviews...but people still buy the iPhone with crummy AT&T service. What is Palm missing?
When I heard the Palm Pre was coming out, I thought it odd Palm compared it to the iPhone as it the Pre has a smaller screen. I was hoping to have a Palm/Sprint phone I could comfortably watch movies on an airplane or in a car.
After the Pre, I was excited about the next phone. No doubt, given the advertising for the Pre and how it could be used for the internet and media, the new phone would be larger! Nope--the smaller Palm Pixi.
The Pre is the perfect size for my pocket, but I--like 20 million of iPhone users--am willing to put up with hitting the upper limit on pocket size if it gives me a much better screen for internet and media use. How many people pull out their phone and say "Look how bad things look and how jumbled web pages are on this tiny screen! Awesome!" The iPhone wows with how well the large screen looks.
While I'm looking forward to the Palm Shuffle (no screen), I will not consider purchasing until the Palm XL, with a larger screen. A 'horizontal' slide-out keyboard included. Until then, my 755p keeps chugging along.
Respectfully,
Wayne xxxx

While not as powerful as the Pre, the Palm Pixi offers first-time smartphone buyers a decent set of features in a sleek little package. However, to be really competitive, we think it needs to come down in price just a touch.

seems like the pixi is a rushed product. I jus bought it yesterday and I think I'm gonna take it back today. The look and feel is great but the downloading is complex and there's not many apps that are useful

Business user in Hawaii. I've been using a Treo 700w for years. I tried an HTC Touch Pro for a couple weeks when it came out and returned it as it was worse than my Treo. Yesterday I got the Pixi. I will give it another couple weeks, but I have been driven crazy today trying to figure out how to format the email inbox so that I can actually see what the hell is going on. As it is now, I can only view 3 emails at a time. I receive 30-50 emails every day and need to constantly and easily scan what's in the Inbox, prioritize, and then decide what I should respond to, but that's nigh impossible when I can only see three emails. I've been surfing all day long trying to find out how to configure the Inbox, but I am afraid it's fixed and I am stuck, which means I may have to return the Pixi. I like a fixed phone w a keyboard, no slider crap. Money is not really an object. For reasons beyond my comprehension, the company where I work cannot switch to Blackberry.....is there a way to view more emails in the Inbox?????
