Is it the phone designed to communicate on your terms: instantly, intuitively, and personally, or the phone you can customize to make it personal? Is it “an incredibly sleek smartphone -- or “an incredibly sexy piece of hardware.”
It¹s all of the above, of course (but you knew that). Palm Pixi is the newest webOS phone, packing in features like Palm Synergy, an exposed keyboard and a vivid multitouch screen, along with compatibility with Touchstone connectionless charging. And it¹s available Sunday on Sprint for $99.99 (after rebate and service agreement).

When can we expect a pixi plus WIFI?
no wifi, no deal.
Just fyi i would jump into either a lowend pixi with wifi, or a highend pre2 with 800px res screen, microsd slot and gpu acess in sdk.
Right now the "offer" doesnt suit me (and i really wish it did)

Who's idea was it to launch on a Sunday?
That said I think it will be a flop. There's no wifi, the screen is smaller and the lower retail price doesn't matter next to the enormous cost of the service.
I like my Pre but I'm always disappointed by the OS updates.
The Facebook app is awful, it has no functionality.

just 3 MAJOR complaints of the Pixi:
1. lag (& lots of it)
2. no WIFI (palm fumbles again)
3. battery life so-so
please fix/address! u have a potential winner, yet some schmoe @ palm finds a way to screw things up!

Wouldn't consider buying this without highlighted number keys. Isn't that a basic requirement?

When will be available unlocked Pixi (in Europe)?

What about Europe? I'm getting tired of waiting!

When will be available in Italy and the rest of Europe? In Italy we're still waiting for the Pre! Hurry up Palm!!! I can't wait forever!

@FK
Given the feedback on the new WebOS release (the next post on the blog), maybe we're lucky to not even have the Pre in most European countries...
I've already got tired of waiting... Sorry Palm, you've lost a customer here.

I have a new one that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere yet... a notification that you have a voicemail or SMS message when the Pixi is in sleep mode.
It can't be that hard, heck, BlackBerry has it (small dig) I mean, flash the sensor bar light, or blink the keys... but if I miss the one an only tone/screen message and it goes back to sleep again I have no way of knowing if anything is there waiting for me unless I wake it. That just seems so silly to not have for this great beginning of webOS that we have here.

Picked the Pixi up on Sunday and still can't believe how great my experience has been thus far in every respect (size, weight, battery life, snappiness, build construction, intuitiveness of OS, call quality, network speed, keyboard, EVERYTHING). So glad someone finally built a fully-functional smartphone that is not an enormous beast like the iPhone or TouchPro or Droid. Please keep this form factor and continue to release future improved generations -- I will be a lifelong customer if so because this device is almost perfect. Only complaint so far is that the charging/USB port cover takes 30 seconds to pry up and then it's almost impossible to jam the cord in while holding it back. Also, it's taking me a bit of time to figure out how to customize certain elements (launch pad, ring tones, speed dials). General critique of webOS pulling in too many junk contacts applies and it would be nice to have desktop PIM but that's about it. THANKS PALM
