In the country that gave us Salvador Dali and Luis Bunuel, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that a celebration of the arrival of Palm Pre had a few slightly surreal touches. Palm and Telefonica executives introduced Palm Pre to an elegant crowd at Telefonica’s flagship store in Madrid (flanked by performers who would have fit in as extras in a Lady Gaga video). To find out what the assembled gathering of actors and TV personalities, models, business leaders, and bullfighters were so excited about, check out Palm Pre here. You can also see more of the action from Madrid over on our Facebook page.

Is it me or should you guys really work on the battery life before you all have any more launch parties..? I mean i love the phone but small things like no yahoo messenger , the fact that i cant really sync with my facebook contact but can only dumb every facebook friend i have into my phone book is a little crazy. and having all of 8 apps to choose from is not good in any country.. but thats just my 2 cents i thing the phone is decent with a chance of being the best phone out with a lot of small fixes....

I'm very disappointed. I was hoping to replace my Tungsten model with a new model without a phone. Evidently, Palm doesn't think they are worth while. What a shame. I like being able to look up information while on the phone without having to stop the conversation while I look. Not all changes are beneficial. I have a company MotoQ and still use my Tungsten E in conjunction with it. I can do more with the Tungsten E than I can with the phone.

Palm Pre Battery Sucks..
What use is anything if you cannot really use it.
Have shutdown Wifi, GPS and Bluetooth. Have changed check email every 1 hr. Have set screen brightness and auto screen turn off to lowest setting.
By 4 PM my battery is 90% over, and my phone is just 5 days old. This is with 40-50 mins talk time and emails checking for 4-5 mins.
And no my phone coverage is not bad, I am in the heart of Silicon Valley in Palo Alto on Page Mill Rd.
