Telefonica today announced the availability of Palm Pre on its HSDPA mobile network in Spain on 14 October. New Telefonica customers can receive the phone at no cost, depending on their service plan commitment. Telefonica is also the exclusive initial carrier for Palm Pre in United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany. The phone can be purchased at Telefonica outlets in Spain and online at www.telefonica.es. More information about Palm Pre is available at http://www.palm.com/es-pre-notify.
Any news on availability in the Netherlands?

What about Asia? Singapore?

At least some indication on release date and carrier for the other European countries is very much appreciated (Netherlands in my case)! With more and more Android devices popping up everywhere the appeal of the Pre starts to wear off...

I am Italian and Pda and Treo users from Vx - Treo 600 - 750 and 500. When the "Ciao" in Italy?

I have been using Palm treos for the past 9 years...I travel and live in Jamaica. No GSM Pre and i hate my Treo Pro with crappy windows mobile. so by the end of the year if there is no Unlocked Pre i will be moving to a Blackberry. i feel betrayed by Palm. the pre could ahve been the hottest phone worldwide and Palm dropped the ball.

What about the French market??
There's newer phone from your competitors coming out here, and we still have no news at all about when it MAY come out in France.
I've read a lot of comments by French people that feel that Palm is abandoning us. Show us that you aren't. Give us some idea of when the Pre may come out in France.
What's killing the appeal of the Pre for me is the idea that I won't be able to get it before 2010... and I'm not the only one.
Give us some news.

Robin's comment above is spot on.
I'm in Australia, and we have been given no indication whatsoever if the phone is coming here, or when.
I'm carrying a Treo 680 which will die soon (like those before it) and keep getting asked why I don't have an iPhone.
How about some actual information to allow me to make an informed choice? If I get an iPhone, I won't be changing platforms shortly afterward. It will be bye bye Palm.
It's hard to look forward to a light at the end of the tunnel, when I don't even know if there's a tunnel to begin with!

Hi!
People in Slovenia are waiting for the palm pre to come to us. We have many many many fans of this smartphone. When will you sell it in Slovenia, or if you ever will sell it in Slovenia. We can't wait for pre. If you read this please make a contract with simobil. 75% of all pre fans in Slovenia are in simobil. Thank for reading this comment.

I agree with other Palm fans/users, Palm you are dropping the ball! You can not come out with a phone with so much potential like the Pre and come half a**. Let me know when you have a decent "auto focus" camera. And no video camera??? I think we all understand that it'll take time for the apps but the basics...C'mon!!! Catch up quick or get left behind for good.

I live in the USA and have been a Palm user and developer since 1997. I currently use a Centro as a stop gap to getting a Pre, and I feel frustrated that there is no news on a GSM model for the US.
I too will abandon Palm if there is no Pre when my Centro dies. My son uses an IPhone that has 98% of the features I want, so I plan on that for my next upgrade.
It is too bad that Palm has decided to stick with Sprint only for all new product releases. I will not move to a carrier because of a phone, but will move to a phone because of a carrier (Signal strength where I live and travel, and plan cost trumps all).
Please stop treating the GSM users in the US as second class citizens and release the GMS Pre and Pixi here.
