All the power of Palm webOS -- including multitasking activity cards, Palm Synergy, intuitive notifications, and universal search -- will soon be available in a striking new form factor. Palm Pixi -- due on the Sprint network in time for the holidays -- is Palm’s thinnest phone ever.
With a visible full keyboard and rubberized back cover, Palm Pixi is especially handy for extensive messaging and social networking.
Want to add a touch of extra style? The Palm Pixi Artist Series offers you a selection of limited-edition back covers in a range of eye-catching designs. You can find all the designs in the first Artist Series here, and you can find more details about Palm Pixi here. And here’s some good news about the older sibling in the family: You can now purchase a Palm Pre from Sprint for as low as $149.99 with contract.

my cingular at&t treo 680 is on life support. my kids are on a family plan with me so it's inconvenient and disruptive for us all to switch to another carrier. please please please help your loyal customers on at&t so we don't have to learn someone else's UI, terminology, invoice format, support procedures etc. i don't want to switch but millions of users seem to be able to get by on other platforms. i'd love a music-themed backplate - a closeup of guitar strings and pickups!

Please release this phone soon. I got the Pre 20 days ago & just don't like the slider mechanism- but LOVE the software (& that's saying a lot as an iphone user & having had the last 10 Nseries phones).

I will replace my Palm Pre with its very "movable" parts, with this stationary keypad phone.
The Pre's construction leaves little to be desired.

I've had a Treo 650 for years now, and said when I bought it that I would upgrade when a phone came along that seemed fully web functional. With WebOS, I think that time has come. However, under no circumstances will I switch to Sprint as a carrier. My wife (whose Centro just died) and I plan to hold out until January hoping that rumors are true that Pre and Pixi will come to Verizon. After that, you'll have lost two more customers to some other device... sad, as nothing else out there really measures up.

I agree with alot of people.
Bring the Pixi to AT&T and other companies.
I've been waiting for a new touch palm since I had the Centro and i was so excited to hear about the Pre and then the Pixi (bc i hate slider phones). Then when I found out I couldn't buy it, i was so dissapointed. i now have a horrible windows fone. I NEED THE PALM OS BACK!
Please release it to other co's :)

When on Earth are they going to add the video capabilities? Its like going backwards in technology. The Palm Centro has it, why not PRE?

I got my hands on a demo in the Sprint store, wow is this device nice! I'm liking the keyboard and size so very very much!
That said, I'm not jumping to Sprint...please Palm, release an unlocked GSM model. You guys did that so well with the Centro and Treo Pro(which I've recently ordered)

I just got this phone and I love it. I don't really miss the camcorder I had on my Centro, but I do miss not being able to change the sound/ringer on my scheduler, as I use it everyday and need something more than a simple beep sometimes. My least favorite thing is where the sleep/power button is placed; way too akward.

Posted by: Dannie | March 03, 2010 at 02:31 PM
i got the pixi for christmas, and its already starting to not work properly. it is very slow, and now it won't allow me to turn it off. it also will not allow me to view or send texts and i cannot call anyone because these features refuse to load. its pretty much brand new, so i don't understand why this is happening..but i will be visiting a sprint store tomorrow.

Hi connor,
All Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus phones now have camcorder functionality with Palm webOS 1.4 - a free upgrade that's been released across all of Palm's carrier partners.

I started with a Treo 650, and have worked my way up to a 755. I wish you would make a new one that looks and feels like the 755 with an updated operating system, retaining the same capabilities as the 755. I am not looking for lighter, slimmer, smaller.
