OpenTable for Palm webOS is the latest addition to the Palm Pre’s beta App Catalog. The popular restaurant reservation service adds a few new goodies to the menu thanks to the unique capabilities of Palm webOS. For example, you can find restaurants with availability near your current location, and your reservations can be automatically integrated into your calendar.
I wish there was an app to sync bookmarks with Firefox on my Mac. But hey! At least it's a beginning!
Can't wait to see the floodgates wide open. If this is anywhere near as popular as the old Palm OS, we're in for a great ride.

so i really like the facebook integration. however why is there no facebook app (and not the x.facebook crap)? for all the hype about the pre and fb to not have a good, no scratch that phenomenal fb app is ridic. so is the lack of apps in the official app catalog. the homebrew app scene is at almost 100 already. whats the hold up? aren't you guys kinda embarassed at this point?

All these restaurants apps are good but when can we expect a language translation app or a Bible app? Or even the traditional solitaire games app? With the centro I purchased the solitaire games package and now I can't use it.

Palm, you absolutely MUST use the current controversy and FCC investigation into AT&T and Apple's rejection of a Google Voice app to your advantage. You and Sprint should announce asap that you'll be supporting Google Voice. It is the PR opportunity of the month! Developers are quitting Apple over this, one announced he's switching to the Pre.
Please, someone, send this up the chain of command.

It would be great if Palm made it easy for homebrew app creators to submit their apps to Palm to be verified and put in the App catalog. There are some brilliant people doing cool things with these homebrew apps. It would be a shame not to utilize them to their fullest.
