Surprised and frustrated that after paying $70 for the Touchstone charger, it didn't include the wall transformer or cable. My intent was to use it for home and the charger and cable that came with the Pre for travel use but now I have to get a travel charger.

Do I really have to re-delete emails from the trash folder or is there a way to empty the folder with one command?

Ok... I LOVE the Pre... but I am perplexed about something. Palm has used the "Facebook" brand to advertise the Pre on TV commercials, but has yet to include a Facebook App!!! Misleading?
Also, I sure hope they fix the Facebook contact re-sync issue. Everyone on the forums is deleting the Facebook account, then re-adding in order to refresh pics and download new contacts.

I love my Pre, this is my third generation Palm phone. The Pre is amazing, however forwarding texts is a MUST! Also I accidentally erased my bookmarks. Is there anyway I can get the preloaded bookmarks back? I have already bookmarked them myself but with facebook and the others it doesnt show the picture in the thumbnail like it use to. A minor inconvenience but nonetheless I would like to have it back the old way if at all possible.

My girlfriends little samsung could send voice texts (where its a text but a recorded messege.)That would be cool. Also a timeline bar in the music player so I don't have hold fast forward like a tape/cd player. A fix where my alarm would actually work after a calender notification would go off and wasn't dimissed... More to come.

In the Pre you have two controls for sound. One for ALL system sounds, and then one for the ringer. I travel a lot and use my mobile alarm. However I don't want everybody hearing me dial, so turn my system sounds down. It needs to be re-written so the alarm sound is not controlled by the system sounds, or I will have to remember every night to turn it back up. I'm sure there are other sounds I would like to not have under the system sounds umbrella...such as text or VM sounds.

I understand from what I have read online that an unlimited data plan is needed to take advantage of the WebOS. This may be fine for someone who stays in the US but for someone like me who travels internationally, data roaming is a killer in terms of cost and would make the Pre a non-starter. Will the Pre function at all w/o a data plan?

Only two things, needing to forward text messages and downloading music, ringtones.

My PRE will turn off for no reason at all. I thought that maybe I had a defective unit, but when i received my new unit, it did the exact same thing. I've missed alarms, phone calls, etc. Please let me know if there is something that I can do to resolve this.

On a whole, I love this phone. It is the only phone that I like better than the HTC Touch phone[s]. The only thing that may cause me to go back to the Touch is the fact that there isn't a video camera. I truly need to have video...when will this be available?

This might sound crazy but can you use the Pre without a email or cell account?
I want to replace my existing Palm Handheld with the Pre but I don't need the email or cell phone features...
crazy, I know.
Just wondering.
Thanks.

Categories for Contacts and Calendars. Please. And these should sync with Google Contact Groups/Outlook Categories.
It's hard to organize one's contacts if the database is large (e.g. I have 6700+) and one cannot categorize
Thanks

I Need my BIBLE on my phone and can't reload it. How can I transfer this from my Treo?

I will be returning my pre if we don't get a replacement battery that lasts for more than 6 hours.

why does every new phone from sprint have less and less signal strength? I have really old phones with green displays that could run for 3 days and pickup signals inside concrete bunkers. what happened to the hardware?

Have been waiting for a Pre for ages - am in Australia - but now I'm not sure as I don't want to store my personal details on the "cloud" and I understand that a lot of the basic Palm functions of previous models are no longer available. I am extremely disappointed about this and feel that there's no point in me getting a whole lot of fancy bells and whistles if the basic functions I have depended upon for the last 9 years are not available. Are there any plans afoot to remedy these issues?

when will it be available through verizon?????? I want it now!!!!!!

More apps, better battery life (to echo thousands of other reviewers), Pre rev2 with sturdier metal chassis and SDHC slot.
And price it aggressively so it gets in everyone's hands. Classic chicken and egg scenario. The more phones you sell initially, the more developers will build apps, the more buzz, the more apps, the more customers will buy current and next product.
Good luck...
