Sprint has announced today that the Palm Pre will be available on June 6. Sprint announced that it will be available nationwide in Sprint stores, as well as at Best Buy, Radio Shack, and select Wal-Mart stores. The webOS-based phone will retail for $199.99 (after rebate and service agreement).
The Palm Pre will provide access to all of the exclusive content on the Sprint Now Network, including Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile Live. More details about Sprint’s service plans and retail channels can be found on the company’s website.

Will the Palm Pre support Office Mobile

I agree, Palm could probably kill the iPhone in sales if they had avoided the whole rebate thing and just charged $199 for the phone.
I still think the Pre sales are going to be fantastic, but not absolutely awesome as they would probably be without the rebate.
Never the less, I'm getting one. Probably won't be on opening day, but if it was $199 straight up, I'd be able to make it opening day.
In the mean time, I have my centro.

I've heard it's going to BLOW the iphone out of the water too!
Will it do all the Iphone can do? I've been a big Palm man for years and do not want to change operating systems to keep up.
Will it keep me ahead of the game? I'm excited! And can it be used on the AT&T system as I have a contract with them. Can it be unlocked so I can use it on my present carrier?
Thank You!

all this birthday talk...itll be just a few days late for mine, but after waiting since New Years, I think I can swing it. So the game plan for June 6 is get up early, grab breakfast, drive to the store and camp out until they open at 10 am!!! :)

I'm glad to hear the announcement! However, I'm not one to blindly jump into using a new phone and new OS. I would encourage you to let some reputable organizations perform their own hands-on review prior to the launch date. PreCentral.net and Engadget.com are the big two I'd like to see review from. Thanks!

I have been reading all about this "Synergy" feature that is suppose to replace "Hotsync". How will the PRE access my outlook contacts and calender on my work PC behind a firewall? Can I still hotsync using a USB cable?

for heck sake, when do I get the Pre in Hong Kong? Any announcement about multi-lingual support? I bought a Treo Pro in Singapore last fall, mixed reviews, wanted something like the Pre, hopefully we can get them in Asia by this fall.
