We know. You're anxious to hear about the price and availability date for Pre. For now, how about we tell you how to nab a free one? Here are a few ways to win a Pre we've spotted on various Palm Pre community sites. (They can't help you get one sooner, but you can't beat the price!) And if you know of any other contests, let us know in the comments.
My Pre Feeling fortunate? Come up with a clever "fortune cookie"-style prediction using "Palm" and "Pre" -- the community will choose a winner. (Entries accepted until the launch date for Pre is announced.)
Palm webOS Join the Palm webOS forum and leave at least 50 "non-spammy" posts about Pre/webOS -- the winner will be chosen at random. (Entries accepted until the last calendar day before Pre launches.)
Everything Pre There are five ways to enter to win one of 10 Pre phones, ranging from "guess the date bingo" to taking a picture of your goodbye note to your old phone. (Entries accepted until whenever Pre is available to the general public.)
PreThinking Follow @PreThinking on Twitter and send a tweet. (Entries accepted until the day Pre launches.)
Good luck!

Anthony -- very clever. Head on over to the sites listed above and post these over there. I'd say you have a shot.

Ever since I was a young Palm TREO user, I dreamt of the Pre. Don't do the iPhone thing and wait a year after the US release to release it in Canada. My contract with Telus is up soon and I want a Pre.

Okay, I'm NOT techinal! I am a 60 year old nurse who became addicted and TOTALLY dependent on my Palm Tungsten for my calendar and data storage from work in the Emergency Department to home. My cell phone is 11 years old...works well, I can talk and hear with it! Will the Palm Pre allow me to HEAR calls? Is the calendar as great as on my Tungsten? I'm willing to make the leap if it is all I need instead of carrying 2 gadgets!

Pat -- Yes, you will be able to hear calls. And the calendar feature is very cool, IMHO.

Hopefully the Palm Pre will out shine the HTC Touch Pro 2 pending release with T-Mobile….I’m looking forward to testing it out.

I signed up for the free trial for the Pre. I hope it works out I would like to see if it work as well as my Palm Pilot. I use that all the time for internet service and all my information including phone numbers and dates, it would be nice to have it all in the PALM of my hand including a Phone!!!

Sorry, but I don't think the Pre is all it's cracked up to be. It may be a nice little snappy smartphone (whoop dee doo) but us regular palm users are left in the clutch with 64 bit OS's and no drivers. When the only way to hotsync is via wi-fi or bluetooth, that's unacceptable.
I hope palm crashes and burns.

Absolutely amazing that Palm doesn't support 64-bit drivers. Glad I didn't buy one of their phones.
