We know. You're anxious to hear about the price and availability date for Pre. For now, how about we tell you how to nab a free one? Here are a few ways to win a Pre we've spotted on various Palm Pre community sites. (They can't help you get one sooner, but you can't beat the price!) And if you know of any other contests, let us know in the comments.
My Pre Feeling fortunate? Come up with a clever "fortune cookie"-style prediction using "Palm" and "Pre" -- the community will choose a winner. (Entries accepted until the launch date for Pre is announced.)
Palm webOS Join the Palm webOS forum and leave at least 50 "non-spammy" posts about Pre/webOS -- the winner will be chosen at random. (Entries accepted until the last calendar day before Pre launches.)
Everything Pre There are five ways to enter to win one of 10 Pre phones, ranging from "guess the date bingo" to taking a picture of your goodbye note to your old phone. (Entries accepted until whenever Pre is available to the general public.)
PreThinking Follow @PreThinking on Twitter and send a tweet. (Entries accepted until the day Pre launches.)
Good luck!

The USA Today showed a release of April 13 is or was this a true release date?
Posted by: TIffany | April 15, 2009 at 06:08 AM
Mithra -- Yes, in the first half of this year.
Posted by: Alex H. at Edelman for Palm | April 15, 2009 at 10:51 AM
Half the first half of this year has already gone past us, Alex. Let's just call it "before the end of June" and it comes across as slightly less glib.
A more serious note. I hope you can answer this with slightly less vagueness. Is it going to be released in the US only? Or in (Western) Europe too? How about Italy and/or Belgium, because then at least the "gray" option will be available to people with pre-existing contracts, or those in countries that are excluded from your release.

Azijn -- A world-ready UMTS version of the product will be made available in other regions worldwide. We are not announcing any further details right now.
