It’s the eve of Valentine’s Day (and ominously enough, Friday the 13th). Love may be in the air, but it just takes one misstep to derail things. Here are a few pointers to help keep your love life on track:
1. Turn your ringer off (unless, of course, it’s purring out Barry Manilow or Marvin Gaye).
2. Get real. Real flowers, that is. Don’t attempt to “give” a fresh bouquet of lilies via a photograph on your phone, go to a floral mobi-site shop and order now (rush delivery).
3. According to AOL Mail’s Email Addiction Survey, 16 percent of you still keep email notes from ex-boyfriends and girlfriends. Survey says? Time to purge those emails.
4. In 2003, Berger dumped Carrie via a yellow sticky note on Sex and the City. In 2008, sticky notes were out and breaking up over email was in. If words fail you, don’t reach for your phone (or office supply closet) -- it’s still bad form.
5. Whether it’s your first or (gulp) your last, refrain from texting on a date. A lot of you -- 25 percent to be exact -- text on a date. And you wonder why he/she didn’t call for a second?
Tomorrow Palm plays cupid and lets you in on five ways to spice up Valentine’s Day and spread the love.
