I have been looking for a while now to replace my TX and Cell with a single unit. I have not made the move to Treo or other as I dislike exposed keyboards. This new combo looks to be exactly what I have been wanting. I will be waiting for it to hit the market place with a Bigger selection of cell companies. If you are truely wanting to recapture the market then you would be wise to have more than one company selling your new phone.

Just posted the info to my site, we need the great developers that made awesome applications for years on Palm OS to develop for webOS.

Jon thanks for consistently updating this site, speaking to us in the comments, and sharing all the great Palm news.

Palm is back, and great job on the comeback performance yesterday!!!

WOW... the Palm Pre is really nice.
I'm from Canada and i hope it will be avalable with Bell Mobility.

Available on Sprint only? Why? Not sure about the rest of the country, but Sprint's coverage where I live is awful. And I'm in the third largest city in Indiana, so it's not like coverage SHOULD be a issue. Why limit yourselves to one carrier? I don't understand the advantages there. The phone seems great but I would never (and in case I need to be more clear, let me demonstrate...NEVER NEVER NEVER...EVER) choose Sprint as my carrier no matter how great a phone seems. I love Palm and wish all the best, but please option out of single carrier. Pretty please.

Jean..

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T MAKE US SWITCH CARRIERS TO SPRINT TO GET A PRE.... Please!! Some of us have been faithful Treo users, limping along with it's multi-dysfunctionality in a love-hate relationship....just waiting for Palm to come out with a better phone. And now you're going to give it to Sprint??? Incredulous! Please. We want a Pre. We don't want Sprint!!!

Please consider us!

Thanks!!

Don Otto

I will be first in line to get one of these, but I sure hope that there will be an easy way to get my many many Treo contacts over to the Pre AND that Palm will let developers get enough into the guts of the Pre to do an emulator. I know a lot of people won't switch unless they can bring along some of the hundreds of Treo apps that are out there.

Matt, Jean -- you passion for your specific carrier, whatever that carrier may be, is admirable. Palm has the luxury of enjoying great relationships with a multitude of carriers and, rest assured, will continue to work with them all very closely. As always, thank for reading.

Matt

Wow some people seem to have problems with sprint. Too bad their everything plans will rock any plan from any carrier. About time sprint has something exclusive atleast for a little bit. Look at frickin att. They get the iphone. No one else gets that!! Verizon has the Storm for now! So you know what?? We finally get something for sprint and I'm happy about. So nah na nah na nah nah.

Omar

I would like to enquire about the Pre's release date in the rest of the world (Eurpope or other regions). I'm interested in the GSM unblocked device.
thanks

Zeenat S., Edelman for Palm

Hi Omar, we have not forgotten our international fans! A world-ready (UMTS) version of the Pre will be available in other regions worldwide--more info to come as we get closer to availability. Stay tuned!

Hey Don -- for the latest and greatest regarding developing for the Palm webOS, Palm Mojo Application Framework, and Palm Mojo SDK, subscribe to our developer-specific RSS feed at this link. And don't worry, we won't forget about our faithful developers, most of whom have been developing for Palm for years.

Laura

When will the pre be available through Sprint

Alex H. at Edelman for Palm

Hey Laura -- The Palm Pre will be available in the first half of 2009. Everyone at Palm is heads down trying to get thing in your hands. Thanks for reading.

Will the Palm Pre webOS work with Blackberry Connect, as do other Palm smartphones? This will be my determining factor, as my company uses Blackberry Enterprise Server and I need access to my office email (they won't allow us to use Exchange due to security reasons).

Palm, Inc.

Kurt -- we'll have more info about options like that as we get closer to availability. To stay current on Pre updates, sign up at http://www.palm.com/us/products/phones/pre/index.html.

I am a Palm enthusiast. I would like to get the Pre. But I don't need the phone. Will you come out with a non-phone Pre- like the iTouch so dedicated Palm PDA users can keep up with the technology they want. I would buy the Pre if I didn't have to switch carriers. But, I will wait until someone makes something as slick as the Pre but w/o a phone or open to work with my carrier T-mobile.

Joey Pore

Well, Sprint's awesome where I live, and that's Dallas, Texas. In addition, I travel a lot, and I've only had 2 dropped calls in 3 years. Not bad I'd say.

Just FYI, Palm has already said they're bringing the Pre to other carriers next year.
