The design of the Pre, says Jon R, is inspired by nature. It's beautiful. And brainy. EvDO, WiFi b/g, stereo Bluetooth, 8 GB of storage, an incredibly fast processor that's never been used in a phone before.
The touchscreen includes a gesture area that's gives you enormous control easily. Really thin. More on that later. More features: 3 megapixel camera with flash, removable battery. USB 2 connectivity and mass storage support. Standard headphone jack. And the ever-popular ringer off switch.
And since those cheesy virtual touchscreens just won't cut it, there's a slider keyboard. The shape has an ergonomic curvey to it. Easy to use single-handed, or with both hands on the keyboard.
I am in love.

You guys need to swap two keys on the Pre's keyboard: The Dedicated Period key and the Comma/Underscore key. Here's why -
A Period is followed by a Space only some of the time whereas a Comma is ALWAYS followed by a Space. And while a Period is sometimes followed by a Line Break, a Comma is NEVER followed by a Line Break.
Hence, it makes the most sense to swap these two keys.
As a side benefit, the learning curve for current Palm smartphone users will be smaller, even if only by a little.
The graphic designer in me likes the Period on the bottom line next to the Space Bar; it's cleaner, somehow. But to hell with him, swapping the keys makes WAY more sense.
Unfortuately, my crystal ball is broken and I don't know how close you guys are to launch, but if you did swap these two keys the keyboard would be that much better.
