Centro for Sprint spruces up for the holidays
Starting next week, the Sprint Centro will come in two new soft-touch colors to help you kick off your holiday season in style: Olive green and Vibrant rose. The new editions also feature twice the storage, Facebook for Palm, and Google Maps with the My Location feature, at a special price for the holidays -- as low as $79.99. (Click here for details about pricing, service plan requirements, and the new features.)
How hot are these new colors? The executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, says that not only do they offer a "sense of sophistication and elegance," but they have "the longevity to translate from season to season."
You want more? How about a new case or two to wrap up your new Centro, along with other accessories. You can find the new colors in select retail locations as early as Oct. 19, and beginning Nov. 2 in Sprint Stores, consumer and business sales channels, and online at www.sprint.com/Centro and the Palm Store (http://store.palm.com).

"soft-touch"?
Is that the textured paint like on the Treo 755p?

Personally, I would rather see a Treo Pro for Sprint instead of re-packaging existing products. Now that would be a great Christmas gift!

I really wish that the black version would be updated as well. Then I might consider replacing my aging TX.
But really, what I really want is a TX with a cell radio. Hopefully Palm is listening and we'll get it next year. I really can't wait! Such a device would have a tremendous following.

What many of us want is modern treo (like the pro) running PalmOS
sadly
I don't think Palm is listening (or cares)

I love my TX and could not find any device to replace it. I cannot leave without a big landscape screen. The Iphone could be a choice but is to limited.
Come on Palm, give us a TX with cell phone!

Palm has previously announced that there will be a new version of the Palm OS by the end of this year, with devices running that OS in the first half of 2009. Stay tuned!

Mark -- yes, the 755p also has a soft-touch finish.
