very nice - a little late(r) than AT&T but ill gladly take it thanks:)

Gaber

This is cool to see on a Sprint device (I had thought there may be some limitation to CDMA vs GSM with regards to the My Location feature), but why no love for the Treos? What possible limitation could there be to prevent this from working on my 700p?

Robert

This is a GREAT update. Just one quirk - Google Maps needs to be updated to the latest version to take advantage of the My Location service. It can be found at mobile.google.com and select Maps from there.

Martin Donnelly

Will an update be coming for those of us that are not on Sprint? I'm thinking of people like myself in the UK that did not purchase the phone from a carrier.

Brian

So..... Will there be an update for my 755p?

Tony

If you guys aren't going to support the 755p anymore, could you please stop selling it?

Seriously.

Stefan

Hi,
can you please tell when the Treo 755p on Sprint will get the same update to enhance BT and to enable the Google Maps My Location feature?

Thanks.

Jason

Is it be possible the Sprint 755p update including My Location functionality and enhanced Gmail IMAP functionality might be coming before too long?

CountBuggula

Still no love for us lowly Treo owners who spent 5 times as much for our phones than the Centro? They are still sold and supposedly still supported...but we keep seeing update after update for the Centro and without getting the same for the 755 or those poor souls with a 700p who have suffered so much at your hands. Is that ever going to change, or is this the way of Palm in the future?

toroco

Are there any plans to make these same improvements available to 755p owners?

Jeff Schoby

What about 755p, 700p, and 680 users?

qrius

Can you please remember us that bought the 755p and incorporate the My Location to it as well?

Aaron

When are you going to stop treating the Treo phone users as a second class citizen now that the Centro is out? Come on, if you can do My Location for the Centro, I'm SURE you can give it to me on my 680 with PalmOS!

Mary

Oh my freaking goodness. I'm pretty sure a software update was provided for Sprint 755. Verizon, I'm not sure about. But seriously people, all you do is gripe. While MyLocation is nice, you've been fine without it for however long, so I'm sure you will live.

Jay

Yeah Palm,

Why can't you support us poor soles who had the nightmare that was the Treo 650 and 700P , who stood by you and purchased Treo 755P's, and dealt with all of the lies about what these devices were capable of. Now you can't even work on getting us the My Location feature? Or god-forbid Bluetooth that actually works? I guess it is time to look at the iPhone...thanks for STICKING your loyal customers. No i will not buy an inferior Centro

Jeff

The Sprint/Centro Palm update was easy enough to install, it does require a hard reset, of course.

But sadly, the Google Maps My Location does NOT work where I live and have tested, in Sugar Land, TX. It tries to find your location and then shortly comes back with an error stating that the location is not available, try a again at a nearby location. Nearby locations do not work either.

I have also noticed since the upgrade last night, nearly every data required application (web, On Demand, etc.) comes back with not available the first try and I have to try it again, hope this is not a permanent new "feature" of the 1.07 upgrade.

So far, I am not impressed.

Pinelo

Surely it is a good move by Sprint Centro.smart phone users will get lots of advantage now.

john garger

Can someone give me an idea whether or not I should go for a smart phone or just use a more stylish phone and wait for some better technology? I am on the Sprint network, and was referred to http://www.sanyowireless.com , but I'm not seeing any options that look like smart phones. I don't need an MP3 player or a camera, I'd rather have a phone that is lighter and easier to carry. Any recommendations would be welcome.

Charles Chen

If Palm does not improve the internet browser or include WiFi access they will lose me to the iPod touch + cellphone or iPhone, after many years of loyal Palm use.
