People have been asking when the AT&T Palm Centro will be available in obsidian black - well today is the day and it's now in AT&T retail stores and online at www.att.com/palmcentro and www.palm.com/centro.
AT&T customers, if you prefer another color for your smartphone, the AT&T Palm Centro is available in glacier white as well. Sprint customers can get the Palm Centro in ruby red, onyx black and pink.

I switched from my trusted Treo 650 on AT&T to a Palm Centro on Sprint. I like my Centro quite a bit more than my Treo 650. But what got me to switch was not colors, or service providers or form factor. It was high speed data service. The centro on AT&T is still EDGE, while the same device on Sprint is EV-DO. On top of that, Sprint's unlimited data plan is $15/mo. AT&T's is $40!
I might have stayed with AT&T if the Centro were 3G data capable. But when I considered the fact that EV-DO is cheaper and faster, it was a no-brainer.
About the only thing I miss from my Treo 650 is the battery. I drain my centro battery daily. Sometimes I have to charge it more than once a day.

So...why did it take longer to come out in black than in white?

Just wondering if the Centro will be coming to Canada soon and who will carry it? I haven't found anything posted on Canadian sites yet.

Why is the Red palm Centro not available at AT&T. I am not a fan black or white phones. Will AT&T release any other colors within this year?

I am waiting for the black Centro to be released in Singapore. Are there any plans for it and if yes, when?

I would also like to know when At&t will be getting the pink centro. I was told in April...now they are saying they are just getting black for now. I'm not crazy about the black or white...but, i need a new palm soon.

What are AT&T and Palm thinking? Of course people are going to desert AT&T in droves for the faster 3G service on Sprint. And AT&T's data plans have ALWAYS been overpriced. The fact that the Treo Pro is not an AT&T exclusive is embarassing (don't even get me started on the Windows Mobile issues). I guess AT&T is doing so well with the iPhone that they could care less about their loyal Treo customers. Oh well, finally time to switch to someone who is actually competing to earn their customers' loyalty. G1/T-Mobile anyone?

We work with all major U.S. carriers, as each particular carrier has strengths for different customers, depending on customer needs, location and other variables. Devices like the Palm Centro are available for all major U.S. carriers as well as in an unlocked version.
