Aaron, silvr drgn, and all,
Where to start... please, no throwing produce at my entry!! I just bought a Palm 700P second-hand thru a private party. It's been reset to factory defaults. Haven't even rec'd it in the mail, but when I do will it work ok? In other words, should I just use it as-is w/out performing any upgrades? Not going to be using it for work - strictly personal organizing, address storing, appt reminders, etc. Main reason I bought it - no laughing, please - is that I still have a Handspring Visor Pro from many moons ago w/ all my data on it that I wanted to transfer to a new Palm. Will do some internet connecting, but not even willing to pay Verizon a set monthly fee for access. Will just pay as I go. So ticked at them right now....

I am totally frustrated with the 755p. The lag time between applications or even just exiting an application is anywhere from 8 to 12 seconds. I won't be able to put up with this much longer. Somehow, I was hoping it was just a bad unit, but after reading the above comments, I think it is endemic to this model. The 1.07 upgrade only made things worse. The unannounced reboots occur less frequently than before installing the upgrade, but this is just not good enough. PALM! PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM! I have been a loyal palm user for several years. When my 600 Treo started showing whiskers, I bought the 755p. I like the new features and lament a few that were lost with the new 755p. I can't long endure the sloooooooow switching out of applications or even turning it off sometimes.
PLEASE RESPOND WITH SOME REAL HELP! PLEASE!

I have a question about GPS & bluetooth: Just got the 755 as my wife likes the Palm OS (I have 700wx). I have a Bluetooth GPS reciever that works well with Google maps. The 755 finds the reciever a links, but the version of Google maps on the palm does not even have an option to utilize the GPS. Am I missing something here or is it just the differance between the two operating systems. Can I use the bluetooth GPS or do I need to go out and buy the Tom-tom or Garmin ? Any insight by someone using GPS would be appreciated.

Once I installed the update, my desktop stopped comunicating with the device. I went to the website and downloaded Palm OS5 and the two were compatible once again. However, I lost all of my data on the desktop until I finally reinstalled the previous desktop ver. I now can not hot sync

Hi there, while the blog is not for customer service questions, I wanted to point you in the right direction to get your question answered. I would start with the Palm user forums, chances are, someone in the community can help you out: http://forums.palm.com/palm/. Another option would be to contact our customer support: http://www.palm.com/us/support/using.html.
Good luck!

Hi John -- Have you tried going to menu, settings, and selecting "No Auto-updates?" This should do the trick.

I have used an external earpiece to talk and listen and when I unplug it from my palm, no one on the other end can hear me.

Dissapointed in the Palm Treo 755p when trying to pair bluetooth with my new 2011 Subaru Outback. Had to add another cell phone and line to pair with the vehicles bluetooth. Now the new phone sits in the glove box and connected to the car.

I agree that there need to be a few updates to the Palm models. Since this post first went up, does anyone know if any GPS capabilities were added, say like that of a Garmin nuvi 2360LT (that's the model I currently use in my car and I love all of it's features)? Thanks for the help!
