I think this is a little bit too late for a lot of people who already switched to other devices.

Don't you think Palm should yank this back before all goodwill is lost. I ran into the "USB connection lost" issue. After ascertaining that it wasn't a "Hot Sync" issue, I checked other blogs, and it's quite apparent that this update is toxic. Even those who successfully get past the USB issues (usually by hard setting and updating a pristine 680) are reporting serious problems. I've already done all of the old updates, and as much as I'd like to improve my battery life, I'm going to pass on this upgrade until it's fixed.

Nice to see improvements such as SDHC support. BUT:

When are we in the UK going to see the latest models?
When are we going to see a new PDA as my lifedrive is ageing, I don`t wand Windows Mobile BUT I would like SDHC support, Wi Fi that doesn`t eat the battery, multi tasking and no more crashs.

Is there a formal way to report bugs and issues with the/after the update?

I just performed the update (using an SD card) and although it took a loooong time, and looked like it had to go through the process twice, it worked OK.
The thing is, now all of a sudden my call history/log doesn't work - I have a blank list, and as soon as I try to access the file (i.e. by changing views (from All to Incoming, e.g.) or purging it, the device crashes.
I'm not convinced that Palm's heart was in this update...

What's difference between the 1.12-ROW and the 2.12-ROW updates?

How come there are never any answers from Palm to the questions posted here. I have a severe issue after having upgraded to 2.12 ROW and see on various forums that I am by far not the only person. I'd like to go back to what I previously had, i.e 1.12 with which my Treo was working perfectly!!! What a poor service!

PLEASE : What's difference between the 1.12-ROW and the 2.12-ROW updates?

I use Mac OS X, and the 1.12-ROW update requires an expansion card. I had already put in a 4 GB micro SDHC card in my TREO 680. What am I supposed to do now, throw it away and get a SD expansion card?
I do not think I will ever buy another PALM product again. This has been a painful experience ever since I bought this smartphone 6 weeks ago.
