Palm's supporting it because it's a local (Bay Area) thing, as a way to reach a broader market, and because one of their devices (the 755p) is used in the movie. So while it's not the most direct tie-in (like "win the sleek sporty car used in this movie!"), there is one.

As for the picture quality, most phone cameras are still catching up to standalones.

Seriously, are you trying to give people a reason NOT to buy your phone??? These pictures are horrible!!!

I don't think the pictures are wonderful, but when you think about the fact they were taken at night, I think they are pretty good. It wouldn't replace my Cannon, but I mean come on if you need a quick shot, these will do just fine. I guess some people love to complain.
