Moblogging From 27 Dresses Premiere
Next stop is LA, and now I am using my Centro smartphone to moblog from the red carpet premiere of 27 Dresses, starring Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy and Knocked Up). The Treo 755p also makes a cameo in the movie.

Palm's supporting it because it's a local (Bay Area) thing, as a way to reach a broader market, and because one of their devices (the 755p) is used in the movie. So while it's not the most direct tie-in (like "win the sleek sporty car used in this movie!"), there is one.
As for the picture quality, most phone cameras are still catching up to standalones.

I don't think the pictures are wonderful, but when you think about the fact they were taken at night, I think they are pretty good. It wouldn't replace my Cannon, but I mean come on if you need a quick shot, these will do just fine. I guess some people love to complain.
