I downloaded the 2.11 update. My Treo 680 worked fine before the update. When I tried to hotsync it, it stuck on contacts and I got an error message. I sent Palm an email, and a tech gave me what he believed to be the fix. I performed the operation to the letter, and it wiped out my contacts, both on the desktop and the device!!! I called Palm and they wanted to charge me a $14.00 to fix the problem because my device (which is 3 months old) was out of warranty. People, this is not a warranty issue!!! This is an issue caused by your untested update. Had I not had the forethought to back up my contacts myself, I would have lost everything. I went on live chat for 3 hours, and found a fix, through an outside website. I had to download a file called "filez". Now, before an update is put out to the public, one would think Palm would have tested it first for these glitches.

How to use mp3/AAC for the ringtone? This feature is one of reasons I did this update. But, I can't find it how to use it at all. Or, maybe, this is not included in this update?

My update (via Windows XP and USB) failed at the 1:30 point with the same "microsoft html application host error" reported by so many others. Is there any chance to add a workaround or other information to the official FAQ? It seems like a very common problem.

I've been using palm since as far back as the first palm organizer till my unlocked treo 680 and love the thing but I can't imagine going around with an extra battery in my pocket to be able to finish my day without recharging.
I'm wondering how you guys at Palm are thinking, but you do have a problem. I can't find anyone selling Palm or its accessories in Germany any more, you've probably lost all your fans there.

I just bought this treo 680. Something/application is draining my power. I charged it and it is dead within almost 12 hours.
