When Microsoft launched Office 2007 in the beginning of the year with a nice amount of fanfare, it changed the native file format for Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx) and PowerPoint (.pptx). The new formats have not been supported on Windows Mobile - until NOW.
Recently, Microsoft released an update to Windows Mobile, and it's a free dowload! Palm has provided links on the following page, with more information on how to download over the air or via the desktop and ActiveSync. The new update works with the Treo 700wx and Treo 750 product lines.
If your company has rolled out Office 2007 to its employees, or if you have "rolled out" Office 2007 to yourself...now you can open thos .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx files with gusto.
Now get out there and get mobile!

While I appreciate this information, I am far more interested in the planned Linux OS's progress, possible plans for other OSs, and multilingual support. Please give some guidance as to what is going on.
