Joe, but what about the WM6 update for the 750. Does this update coming "in the second half of 2008" mean that the WM6 update for the 750 is being pushed back to then? Or is the WM6 750 update coming out before then? There are a lot of anxious 750 users out there waiting for this update. I see people switching over to the AT&T Tilt because they want WM6 on their devices. Any comments on the WM6 update for the 750?

Chris Bradshaw

How about just getting Windows Mobile 6 on the TREO750! it's only been out for 9mo.

eNurse

Any word on when we will finally get Windows Mobile 6 for the Treo 750?

Michael Langner

This is all nice and good, but It seems that everybody else in the world already has received the upgrade for the WM6, so where is it for the AT&T Treo 750?
Not only will it give us all the new functionality and features, but it will also remove all the error that the Palm Audio-"Fix" introduced on my machine (can't switch of any daily alarms cause the button to do so doesn't appear any more, calendar alarms don't sound etc)
So, where is it?
It is now the end of October and it is time!

I hate to sound like naysayer... but this is supposed to excite me? WM6 delayed so that 750 owners can wait for 6.1? And what of Linux? Yeah, the Centro was cute, but it would have been a slam dunk with a proper modern OS. I have been Palm faithful for a while now, currently with a 680... but I find myself looking around and not seeing much new but some different wrapping. Meanwhile, I'm honestly excited about Apple's upcoming launch of their iPhone SDK. I actually forgot what it was like to be excited about a mobile product announcement... and that's pretty sad, Palm. Show us that the story isn't over before it is.

Mike Overbo

Speaking personally, sometimes I get tired of all the doomsaying. The WM6 750 update will probably be out soon enough (AT&T's marketing materials indicate before the end of 2007), and Palm's Linux OS is one of the few upcoming things in the mobile world that I'm actually excited about.

And the fact that you come here to doomsay shows that you still care. :)

Does Joe even read the comments? You have a large group of users wanting to know when the wm6 update will be released and it seems that no one from Palm even cares.

Dawn

I join in the group of wondering when the mobile 6 upgrade will be available. I have been patiently waiting, and all I hear is soon. Evidently my idea of soon is much different than Palm and AT&T. What's worse is that it has been released for unbranded phones, but not AT&T phones, Europe has it, Australia has it, why can't we get it?

John Rich

Just got off of chat with Palm Tech Tech and was told the fielding of WM6 has been delayed again because of a "technical difficulty". Once again, no one is saying for how long / when it will be fielded.

Rosie
