So far the update works great. HOWEVER, if I have unread VersaMail messages, there is STILL no "envelope" on the Phone app screen indicating unread messages. Did you do away with this feature?

For those of us who have the old 1.10 update installed, it would be awesome to know if the "smaller" update can be done without a hard reset, since I've never had everything get restored properly in the hotsync restore afterwards (apps set themselves to be not backed up, and so don't get restored).

OK ... So, now when are you going to fix the DTMF tone that plays in addition to the standard, selected tone when alerts pop up on the Sprint 700p with the 1.10 ROM ???

Palm,
Well done!! I'm a member over at Treocentral and we've been installing all evening. Reports to the point have been positive. Thank you for getting this out.

Any plans for Sprint re-release to cure the DTMF bug amongst other complaints as posted?
Thanks for any info.

I don't believe it! It actually works! HOWEVER, I am only 6 hours into it. So wish us luck

Guys @ Palm,
I went ahead and installed the patch to the patch. The network seems to be working now. However you may want to advertise that now we have to wait for a few seconds after placing a phone call to use the data services, I found that after testing a bit and realizing I was not getting network services right after placing a call.
Anyhow, I have to give it to you, you delivered the updated update. I thank you as I was pulling my hair for not having a serviceable phone. Thanks again for fixing this.

it took you long enough! thanks for finally fixing my out-of-warranty 1.2 year-old 700p - you won't see me buying another Palm phone ever again.

Any word on when an update for the 755p for Sprint will be released? (unreliable network connection, DTMF tones even when ringer is off, ...)

So when will the Sprint crowd see an update that actually works???

tried it for my 700p
1. tried THREE times.
2. THREE different SD cards.
3. Followed directions exactly.
DID NOT WORK.
This is, of course, after the red-herring e-mail two weeks ago, promising this update...only to find that the update had been removed.
I don't know who to blame: Verizon or Palm. I only know that I've got 8 months left on my contract. They've got 8 months left to convince me that it wouldn't be utterly stupid to continue using either company...

Too late, Palm. A year of grief with the 700p chased me away. My new device is a BlackBerry 8830 and it is heads above, BY FAR, what Palm should have been but never was. No looking back and no regrets.

Thanks!! No crashes, significantly reduced lags especially after ending phone calls, web browser opens and connects quickly, data connectivity issues gone and cute little menu when I hold the home key ... I'm a happy camper!!

I've had to give up and return my Plantronics 640e Bluetooth headset. Even after the upgrade of my Verizon 700p to Treo700p_-1.10-VZW, it still intermitantly drops the connection with the phone right by my side.
Plantronics has removed the Treo 700 series from their supported products.
Will this be fixed soon?

Did the update and still can not get Blue Tooth connectivity with a Lexus.

During this upgrade (via SD card) my device began flashing a blank white screen part way through the process. It was still flashing hours later. The flashing screen could not be cleared by soft, hard or system resets directed by Palm and Verizon. I followed the upgrade instructions explicitly. Palm Support advised that the hardware needed to be replaced. It only took 5 calls and 4 hours on the phone with Verizon to convince them. Palm should be able to direct Verizon to replace the phone without hours of grief to the customer. Received replacement (refurb with upgrade) 2 days later. Everything works except Google Maps. It makes the phone reset upon launch. I deleted the app.
