How much longer Palm? How much longer do we have to wait for a fix that should have been caught in the QA cycle?

Palm announced a new 700P software update on 9/19 but it hasn't hit this blog yet.
Has anyone tried it? Any problems?

I ran the update as soon as I got it. It made absolutely no difference. I find that everything works fine as long as I am in EVDO coverage. However, if I am in "1X" coverage, in most cases it will not get on the network.
Right after I ran the new update, I drove to upstate New York, and I went in and out of all kinds of networks. Invariably, the 1X networks did not work at all.

I have spent HOURS trying to get a working and stable 700p. I got bit by the same calendar syncing bug after the 1.10 MR update. Events only in one direction and email clipped at the last character in the subject line. Installing the 3.5.4 version of VersaMail made things worse. It won't recognize my Exchange account, period, and I can't even delete it because of the MM EAS FPI error.
I have LOVED Palm for years, but this experience has put me over the edge. They MUST offer 700p owners an alternative, either via new hardware or a completely reworked ROM image. Sprint's 755p is fabulous, and I would even take a stable 650 over this 700p. Worst ever.
