But what about the upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 for the Treo 750?
Or better yet a new release of the 750 with WM6, higher resolution screen and WI-FI?

I note with interest the audio alert update - however i have major issues with the same fault and the patch will not work on my phone TREO750-1.16-RWE.
WHY WHY WHY WHY?

Does this mean it will be awhile before the WM6 update is out?

Just got my new treo 750 from At&t on August 1/08 , where's the WM6...when will WM6 release for download

I installed the update and it only caused problems... my favorite one: when you use the built-in alarm-clock to wake you in the morning, the alarm does ring, but it doesn't display a button anymore to snooze or shut-off the alarm... Even taking the battery out doesn't help...
The only thing that did help: using MemMaid to delete the events... and all this at 5.30am in morning...
Thanks Palm for such a pleasant wake-up call!

I have updated my treo 750 to wm6 and it looks really cool, more stable, windows auto update capable, windowa live, more stable, XM radio and other cool media applications. better Wifi connection, runs faster. run resco softwares, skype,IM, no more MMS issue with xpress mail. the only thing I notice that the battery life sucks. I wish if they have used nokia battery on it.

i purchased the treo 750 over the iphone just about 2 weeks ago and i can honestly say it was a VERY bad decision. i had always been a loyal customer of palm but this time they have REALLY messed up. my audio stops working randomly and the update patch does not work for my device because i have the 1.16RWE version. ive only had one problem after another. this marks the end of my palm days. im going to try to get rid of this phone asap and try to get the iphone

I purchase the treo 750 direct from Palm, everything was fine while using the WM5, but after upgrading to the NEW AT&T’s version of WM6 I lost all incoming compatibility for my Bluetooth devices (the Jabra BT250V and the Mobile-Ease car kit). Even though these devices are shown as compatible on the Palm website they are not for incoming calls.
These particular devices work fine when placing outbound calls, but do not hand the call off to the Bluetooth device for incoming calls. Each device recognizes that a call is coming in, but when the answer button is depressed the handset is the only unit which answers the call.
Palm and AT&T each point the finger at each for the problem. Each time you call either AT&T or Palm support they each want you to “hard-reset” the hand held. As you know, is no small matter to re-program your phone after a hard-reset, nevertheless, this is their process of elimination. Heaven forbid they have a quality customer support tracking system so you don’t have to keep jumping thru the same hoops each time you call.
I asked them to send me a phone with WM5 on it and we can all call it a day; apparently this is not a concession they can offer.
So be aware that there are flaws and limitations to WM6 that are not explained in the upgrade.
