Timing Update for 700p MR
Timing for the 700p maintenance release hasn't changed since we last posted to the blog (April 17th). At this time, we expect the software update to be available the week of May 28th. We will post an update if the timing moves.

Update:
We appreciate the frustration that has been shared and everyone's patience. I know we said we are working to deliver the 700p maintenance release (MR) the week of May 28th. We are still hoping to make the MR available for Sprint Treo 700p users tomorrow or early next week.
Unfortunately, the MR will not be available this week for Treo 700p Verizon Wireless users, but we expect it will be available soon.
Will post again tomorrow.
Thanks ... I appreciate the post and am looking forward to the update.

Thank you for updating us about this even though it wasn't necessary.

Paul, here's hoping that the MR will fix the issues.
Palm will be losing quite a few customers if it doesn't.

Yay!
Thanks for the update Paul. I'm really looking forward to this, as are many others. I hope there are some easter eggs to go along with it. You know, like more than just fixing the speed and stability problems. How about some updated apps, all the new functions of the 755p, A2DP, and SDHC support. That would be cool.

Thanks for the update. Now, you see how easy that was?

Paul,
You do one helluva job, and are such a great asset to Palm. It's great how you keep us updated, the Palm community definitely appreciates you and your open communication. If this update is anything like the Treo 755p, 700p owners will rejoice. The Treo 755p is the most stable, and best Treo I have used on both the Palm OS and Windows Mobile side.
Best,
Jimmie Geddes

I use Outlook at home for my calender, tasks, and contacts. I also receive push email from our corporate exchange server on my Treo 700P.
Is it possible to sync at home yet still receive email on my Treo from our corporate server?

Hi Paul!
Hey, there is a ton of speculation as to what is going to be included in the forthcoming Maintenance Release as well as what isn't. Is there any way you can post here on the blog, everything we can expect to see...if for no other reason than to cease the speculation? Is the MR largely going to be a stripped-down version of the 755 ROM? Please advise...
Thanks,
:D

Thanks for the heads up. Counting the days to when I can reliably use my 700p.
Now, I have to admit this blog is actually serving it's purpose!

680 owners are still being left in the dark about any potential fix for it. What says Palm about that? A little information goes a long way.

Ok Paul. I think that you at the Palm Island could now to fix the Treo 680 Bluetooth issues. I told to everyone:
"You, don't buy a Palm Treo. I'm a hard user of Palm handheld and believe me, you will spend a lot of time just to set it and set it over again. It is not a reliable device. Keep your cell phone and your PDA. It is not time to change to a Palm Treo smartphone yet."
I have a dozen of people just waiting your movement.

I love my Treo 755p which just happens to be the 700 rom with all the lil bugs removed.

glad to hear about the upcoming update. just purchased 700p and returned it twice because i didn't understand why it didn't work like the 650 (bluetooth, slow apps--bummer!). can't wait to update!...

This is great news. Hopefully the update will include A2DP. I am also excited about the speed issues. I've had my 700P for 2 months and have been wondering about it, since the 650 did not have the problem.
A2DP/AVRCP please!
