I just don't get it. why is the burgundy phone only being released to limited stores. why not release the same amount as the blue counterpart. its ridiculous

Kris, yes, a 4GB miniSDHC card should work in the 755p since they announced it being able to use 4GB cards. That's because the SD memory spec is maxed at 2GB. To go beyond that it is supposed to be an SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card. You can get SDHC and miniSDHC cards up to 4GB. Funny thing is that Samsung just announced coming out with an 8GB microSDHC card.
And you need to decide what class (speed) card you need. Top speed at the moment is SDHC Class 6 (150x) cards.

"Meet the new boss... Same as the old boss..."
It's been said over and over and over, but I'll say it again: The 755p is a ridiculous joke, and a slap in the face for loyal Palm Treo users.
I'm so fed up with Palm, and their new "kinder, gentler" customer interface policy seems to me too little, too late. We Palm loyalists have had to scream far too loud for far too long to get far too little reaction from Palm.
A "new" Treo with Bluetooth 1.2? Are you kidding me!? And _still_ no AD2P support? And _still_ no WiFi? And a MiniSD slot replacing SD? My God, Palm! What is the matter with you!?
Are you people on crack? Are you even reading the forums at TreoCentral.com? Good God, are you even listening to us!?
I've been a patient, loyal Palm supporter for more than a decade, ever since my venerable Palm 1000. No more. This is just crazy.
I'm going to stick the 700p ROM update on my phone, and then stick it up on eBay. Then I'm going out to get me a Verizon BlackBerry 8830. And then Palm can take my loyalty they squandered--and their ridiculous new 755p--and just stick it. And then they can stick a fork in me, because I'm soooooo done with Palm.
"Meet the new boss... Same as the old boss..." Well, I'll tell you what, people: Here's one Hippie who "won't be fooled again."
Nah nah naaaaah naaaaah...
Nah nah naaaaah naaaaah...
Hey Heeeeeeeeeey...
Goodbye!
My boots are made for walking... and they're gonna walk my $$$ right over to RIM.

The problem with the miniSD cards is the size. Right now, I use my Treo 700p with an 8GB card. It's almost full and I definetly can't go down in size to 4GB. That is my major problem with miniSD.

Few weeks ago my phone contract expired and I was able to pick a new one and thus select a new handheld. I live in Uk and 2 years ago I moved to Orange becuase they were the only one distributing the Treo650. 1 year ago I happily decided to keep the Treo for another year. After two years I sadly see very few improvements on what Palm could offer me.
Palm 680: basically the same but without antenna (ok cheaper, with more memory)
Palm 750: no antenna, more memory, 3G, better camera but with WM.
Is this a joke? To have an almost decent upgrade I should move to WM?
What I did, I just bought a WM phone with 3G, wi-fi, GPS, 2MP camera.
Result? WM sucks and I'm going to use my old Treo650 (the number of clicks to create a note or to add an appointment matter).
Sadly enough I look forward to see when the 755p will come out in Europe. Probably I'm gonna buy it next year.
If Palm has as objective to make people changing phone every 3 years disappointing them for the few new features (at the contrary of other platform) they are in the good direction.
I'm wondering how many days will take to Palm to disappear as soon as a new decent Operating System will come out (liter macosx and linux are on the way and Palm's hardware can't just compete).

Any ideas when Verizon will discontinue the 700P and start offering the 755P. My Treo 650 is 2 years old and I am due for an upgrade. I am a fan of the OS system and want to stay with the same platform, however I do not want to invest in a product that will be EOPL soon

755 is a great upgrade for 650 users . I can see why the 700p owners are upset, this is pretty much what the 700p should have been IMO.
IF the MR fixes the 700p, no greatly compelling reason for a 700-755 switch, but I'm not holding my breath that people are going to be happy with the MR

I upgraded to the 755 from my treo 650. I had the 650 for two years now and upgraded to the 755 because i have to jump online frequently for email and work purposes.
The pros: I like about this one is that the web is broadband like but not that much faster than the 650. I like the fact that the massive antenna is gone and the shell feels softer.
The bads: I am very dissapointed for the fact that I spent a signifigant amount expecting major upgrades that palm had 2 years from the 650 to improve on. Yeah I know if i wanted a phone to play cool mp3 ringtones I could have went with a 75 dollar razor but still, If I am spending $400 plus up front on a cell phone, I want every little shiny bell and whistle that every advanced cell phone on the market has.

You know, you can only be disappointed if you depend on something... Palm came through with a substandard 700p, a quick new 755 and a MR that did more damage than good _ now vaporware or rather vaporwhere?
My Blackberry provided by my office just works. I bought the 700p because I didn't want to carry two Blackberrys.
Palm, if you're listening - and if you care - we won't be fooled again!

Well, I have a 755p. I have problems with the network connection and the Bluetooth is not very good, in fact it's awful. It won't work with my three high quality headsets (at least not well), nor will it pair with my BMW. FYI my 650p worked fine with all of these. I see that the 700p is all buggy in these areas as well. Why would the 755 be? I am very disappointed.

My real world;
I am a frequent international business traveler.
For 15 years I was twisting my back lugging around a 15-20 lb (with accessories) laptop. About 3 years back I needed a new laptop and decided that for travel it would be convenient to go with the FULL price palm branded unlocked GSM Treo 650, best move I ever made (replaced 3 times, however). New country new SIM card and away we go, no laptop, travel light Grandad said.
Since this time using the SD platform I have integrated my digital camera, car stereo, card reader, and a recovered 80GB hard drive from my previous laptop dropped into a Momobay cover. I attach to any available desktop, internet cafes included, and I have my complete windows profile, company files, my documents, everything for well under 3 pounds.
So lets recap I have a cell phone, a hard drive, a camera and a card reader. I run stereo out to TV at hotels for my music I transfer pictures documents anything that can go on a 2 GB card and off load to the hard drive when available. I can respond to any customer request worldwide within a day.
That is my world.
What I would like to see is a new Treo brand unlocked GSM
with a mini USB integrated so the phone can recognize it, and with the phone plugged in be able to power that hard drive. Full agreement with Jake Thomas | May 09, 2007 at 09:41 AM A mini SD slot ALONG with SD to ease the transitional pain of technological improvements.
I have no need for WiFi but I suppose it would be nice. Stereo Bluetooth most def for bike rides, I’m the only one in Chicago with web access on my bicycle. Windows Mobile no thank you.
Agreed with Tam | May 10, 2007 at 03:02 PM. Support the spenders that have paid and will pay for the best you can offer and your business model and stock will be strong. Just in my immediate group we have 18 Treo users all different models.

Has anyone in Palm's marketing department heard of an Edsel?
It is bad enough that you can't figure out how to put a WiFi card in the phone, but to sell an add-on WiFi card for the Treo but that doesn't work with the Palm OS Treos is beyond comprehension.
As a Verizon customer, I have a $200.00 new phone credit, I won't be using it to buy a 755p or any Palm product.

I have the 755 for Sprint and have found it to be very buggy. The bluetooth on it rarely works and often requires me resetting the phone. A lot of times it goes to the bluetooth headset when there isn't a bluetooth device around. When there is one around, it only connects sometimes.
Now it's hanging up if I'm on a call if I get a third caller. When I switch over to the new caller, the first caller naturally calls back and then the second caller gets hung up on.
When I first got the phone, it took at least 12 attempts to provision the vision services. Each one said it was successful, but when I connected to the internet, it would re-provision.
I think this thing is either very buggy or I have a lemon.

i live in New Zealand and i have just about had it with the arogance from palm and telecom. been waiting for an upgrade to my 650 and what we got was a 700wx that is WM. when will we get a palm os upgrade to the 650. or u dont care about your existing clients. mini sd sucks big time and from reading all the above posts i wonder who you are selling your phones to. another 5yrs of treating cudtormers like this and yowill be out. all it will take is some chinese company like sanyo to launch a pda version and you are history.Again palm provide what the customes want and dont try to shove it down their throat couse if you keep up this take it or leave it attitude then we will leave it

Why does the 755 look so cheap compared to the 650? Now I'm kind of bummed that I damaged my 650, it actually looked like how much I paid for it. :(

I just got a 755p. Internet is slooooow, freezes up ALL the time, reboots itself quite a few times so far, and again on the internet...hooks up 20% of the time. Maybe even less!
Cant use mp3 ringtones ( I make my own )....
Had TONS of issues with it in only one day of usage.
What a waste. Here I come eBay.

This is a bunch of crap!!! My 700P broke, needed a new one, Asurion is great, but the Yellow Delivery guys incorrect delivery my phone and the bum won't let them have it back...waited on yellow delivery guys for over one week, now I HAVE to get the 755P! BOO BIG TIME and SHAME SHAME on palm for completely flubbing this one up. Now when I ask anyone, " Hey let me hand you my card so you can download the specs needed for that project...oh yeah that’s right...we can't just exchange cards, we will now have to wait to get back to the office to swap out info.." ALL those cards bought, now are of no use. Way to mess up palm...I don't feel like paying a couple grand on new phones & cards, but now I am out hundreds on cards and most importantly, the efficiency of having all the same cards. Not to forget to mention, less battery life for all operations. It is a sad day for a long time palm fan...sad sad day! Don't buy PALM until they get their act together and stop screwing us with poor updates and bad programming!!
